Stabilising and Enhancing the Electricity Grid

I would absolutely recommend this sort of opportunity to other farmers where it arises

The project will contribute up to 500 MWh of storage capacity in the grid thereby supporting new and existing renewable energy facilities in the region by supplying system services and network support.
Additionally, the project will provide critically needed firming capacity to the grid, supporting a reliable and secure source of electricity to consumers and local population. This will allow for broader security and provide back-up power during network disruptions.

Additional shade

Protection from predators

Improvements to soil moisture retention

Environmental Benefits
The project will facilitate the delivery clean, zero emissions electricity to meet the region’s energy by providing storage and firming capacity.
The project would store and release up to
250 MW of electricity
Allowing:

25,000
Powering an average of 25,000 VIC Homes

2 hours storage
of clean energy, for when the sun isn’t shining
